Foldable Subsoiler with Cylinders
The SF series refers to the foldable subsoiler models. They operate the same as the S series, with retractable shanks in case of an overload.
The shank is preloaded with a maximum penetration force through a hydraulic firing cylinder connected to a hydraulic accumulator.
In the event of an overload, the cylinder compresses, sending the oil inside it to the accumulator, allowing the shank to pivot and lift, thus clearing the obstacle. Once the obstacle is passed, the accumulator, which maintains pressure in the cylinder, pushes the shank back to its working position.
This firing force is adjusted by increasing or decreasing the internal pressure of the hydraulic accumulator. This process is carried out from the tractor cab.
In the case of these subsoilers, due to their size, they have 2 front control rollers, independent of each other.
